It is vitally important that children attend school every day.  Children who are absent from school miss out on vital learning opportunities. 

As a school, we monitor children's attendance and punctuality closely.

If your child is absent...

Please telephone the school office on 0151 228 4672 by 9am if your child will be absent from school for any reason.  You may also leave a message on the school answerphone.

If we do not hear from you or if we do not believe that the reason for absence is a valid, it is standard procedure in schools that all unexplained absences are followed up as a safeguarding concern. 

If we do not hear from you, one of our members of staff will call out to your home address to carry out a welfare check.

Please ring school as soon as you know that your child will be absent for any reason.
